Electronic Playground

For plumbers

Reviews from the customers whose basement you just saved

When a water heater bursts at 6 a.m. or a main line backs up the night before guests arrive, the plumber who shows up becomes the hero of that household. Few service moments generate more genuine gratitude.

A review badge clipped to your plumber’s shirt captures it on the spot. One tap on the customer’s phone opens your Google review form while the relief is still fresh.

Plumbing searches are urgent and star-driven

Someone standing in an inch of water does not research for an hour. They search “plumber near me,” look at the map results, and call whoever looks trustworthy and available. Star rating and review count do much of the persuading in that moment, which means every review you collect has an outsized effect on the calls you get next month.

Recency matters too. A profile with several reviews from the past few weeks signals an active, responsive company. A badge program keeps that stream steady instead of spiking after an occasional email campaign.

Situations where plumbers should make the ask

After-hours emergency calls

The customer was anxious, you arrived, and the water stopped. They are rarely more willing to help a business than in the next five minutes.

Fixture and water heater installs

These customers just invested real money and want to feel good about it. Inviting them to review reinforces that they chose well.

Drain and sewer jobs with camera footage

When the plumber shows the customer the root intrusion on screen and explains the fix, trust is high and the story is easy to tell in a review.

Clean hands not required

Plumbing is messy work, and nobody wants a tech handling a customer’s phone with wet gloves. With an NFC badge, the customer holds their own phone near the card and the review page opens. The plumber never touches the device, and nothing gets passed back and forth.

The card lives behind a clear window in a rigid holder, which keeps splashes and grime off the print. A quick wipe at the end of the day keeps it presentable.

Owner-operator or multi-truck shop

If you are a one-truck plumber, a single $30 badge is an inexpensive way to stop relying on memory to send follow-up texts. For shops running several vans, give every licensed plumber and apprentice who handles customer conversations their own badge, so reviews mention the right names and the ask happens on every call.

Dispatchers and office staff can reinforce it, too. When a customer calls to thank you, a dispatcher can mention that the plumber’s badge links straight to your review page for next time.

Questions we hear

Can the badge link to a review page for a specific service area?+

The badge stores whatever link you give us. Most plumbers use their Google Business Profile review link. If you have separate profiles for separate offices, we can split your order between them.

Will moisture damage the NFC chip?+

The card sits inside a sealed-edge plastic holder, which shields it from typical job-site splashes. It is not designed to be submerged.

Is it okay to ask for a review on a job that had a problem?+

Yes, and you should. Google discourages asking only happy customers. A fair review from a customer whose problem you resolved well often reads as more trustworthy than a perfect one.

Put a badge on every plumber
