Phones and technology
Which iPhones can tap the badge?+
iPhone XS and later read NFC tags automatically when unlocked. iPhone 7 through X can read them through a Control Center shortcut. Any iPhone camera can scan the QR code.
Where is the NFC antenna on Android phones?+
It varies by model, but it is usually near the middle of the back. If a tap does not register, slide the phone slowly across the card or use the QR code.
Does it work through a phone case?+
Most thin and medium cases are fine. Cases with metal plates, magnetic mounts, or card wallets can block NFC. The QR code works regardless.
Can someone change where my badge points?+
The link is written to the chip and printed on the card when we make it. It is not something a customer can modify by tapping.
Ordering and proofs
What do I need to place an order?+
Your Google review link, a logo file, and your color and name preferences. Our guide on finding your review link walks through getting it in about two minutes.
What if I make a typo in a team member’s name?+
You will catch it on the proof. Reply with corrections and we will send a revised version before printing.
Can I change my order after checkout?+
Yes, right up until you sign off on the design. Send corrections by email or phone and we will revise it.
How do I reorder for a new hire?+
Place a new order for a single badge and mention your previous order so we can reuse your approved design.
Shipping and delivery
How much is shipping?+
Nothing. Delivery costs are covered whether you buy a single badge or twenty.
When will my badges ship?+
Production takes three to five business days once the proof is signed off, then USPS usually delivers in a few days. Our shipping and returns page has the full timeline.
Where do you ship from?+
Orders are handled by Electronic Playground in Yuba City, California.
Durability and care
How do I clean a badge?+
Wipe the holder with a damp cloth. Avoid harsh solvents, which can cloud the clear window.
Is the badge waterproof?+
It handles rain and splashes on the job, but it is not designed to be submerged.
What if the reel breaks?+
The reel is a standard part, and the badge strap detaches with a snap, so the holder and card keep working on a lanyard or clip while you replace it.
Google reviews and policy
Will these badges get my reviews flagged?+
No. Reviews come from real customers using their own Google accounts. Problems arise from incentives, fake reviews, or selective asking, none of which the badge involves.
Can I give customers a discount for tapping?+
No. Google prohibits incentives for reviews, and federal rules restrict them as well. Ask every customer and keep it voluntary.
Will every customer who taps leave a review?+
No, and that is fine. The badge removes friction, but leaving a review is always the customer’s choice.
